to Napoleon’s Grand Armee, it was not completed until 1831. You can take an elevator up to a small museum that covers the history of the arch and its sculpture
At the northern end of the Champs Elysee, the Arch was begun to comemorate the Grande Army of Napoleon, but was not completed till many years later
