Halifax and Nova Scotia
The maritime provinces are a world apart from Ontario. In your mind`s eye you see lots of quaint fishing villages, and famous light house, traditional culture and an easygoing charm that stands in stark contrast to the high energy, consumer driven corporate culture of Ontario. How true this really is will be one thing to discover when I finally get to visit. This itinerary only covers Halifax and Nova Scotia. New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland deserve a separate trip each. Like Alberta and British Columbia, you cannot easily visit the province if you don`t drive, so either escorted tours, or bus transport is your best option. Halifax itself has a lot to offer, and appears to be an easy city to get around.
