Amtrak – Eastern USA

The eastern seaboard metropolises of the United States offer plenty of possibilities for travellers in almost any budget range. Taken as a group, you can easily do a train trip starting in New York and ending in Washington DC, or vice versa. The trip outlined below could be done in as little as a week to 10 days, but ideally  a full two weeks would be the best time-frame to see everything comfortably.
