Greece

This trip was in part inspired by my interest in art history and archaeology, so it begins with a generic survey of classical Greece, but I’ve included a side trip to the island of Rhodes and Crete. Rhodes is the film location for the 1961 war adventure: the Guns of Navarone, which I have seen more times than I should – but I love that old movie.  Crete also has lots to offer but in particular, I would like to see the ruins of the Palace of Minos in Heraklion. Much like the other trip plans that I’ve posted here, it will likely go through several more revisions before it ever takes place. The indicated pricing is derived from Athens based Key Tours but will likely be different by the time I get around to booking this trip.
