I’ve had the good fortune to visit several of United States’ majestic national parks in Arizona and New Mexico, including the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly, Window Rock, Bandoleer National Monument. There is of course a much more to see in that region, particularly in Utah. Sadly from my perspective, there is no way to do a self-directed tour of these sites unless you drive, so escorted tours really the only way to go. There is no lack of these, but they are pricey, and it’s difficult to find one that features everything that you’re looking for. The itinerary below is a summary of the places I’d like to visit.
Itinerary
- Bryce Canyon National Park
- Zion Canyon National Park
- Capitol Reef National Park
- Arches/Canyonlands National Park
- Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon
